Qatar.

I'm not exactly thrilled about it.
But I found out my gorgeous Joshua is being sent to Qatar for 6 months.
I know it's most likely the safest part of the Middle East to be sent to, but I still don't like it.
No mom wants her soldier son being sent off.
It's hard letting go!
Even though I will worry while he's away, I'm so proud of him for being in the Air Force and for defending our Country. Though I have no idea what Qatar has to do with the USA...

  1. It must be really hard. My "Aunty"s (Mum's best friend) son was in Iraq on and off for a few years. She was skin and bones with nerves. He has left the army now after ten years with a wealthy of experiences and excitement for civilian life. Hope your boy is sent with a good group of mates to share it all with.

  2. According to Wikipedia - Beginning in 1992, Qatar has built intimate military ties with the United States, and is now the location of U.S. Central Command’s Forward Headquarters and the Combined Air Operations Center. It also has gas and oil!
I can understand you're worried but fingers crossed he'll be ok.

  5. Oh my heart goes out to you Tammy. I can't imagine what it must be like to see your son sent abroad on behalf of his country. My prayers are with him for a safe return and for your family too.
