I collect LOVE British Magazines. Essentials, Prima and any Home Decorating ones.
The Cockney has been buying me Christmas Editions and I LOVE them, I even found an old Christmas Decorating Magazine in a Charity shop in London. Thing is, I'm starting to get a lot of them. I don't think I've even read most of them cover to cover yet.
This is my Question.
What do I do with them?
I NEED HELP!!!
At first I thought I would take out my favorite crafts, decorating ideas and recipes and put them all in that white album, I thought I'd cover the album in Christmas fabric... Then... I had 2nd thoughts. Do any of you have any ideas? Should I just leave my collected Christmas Magazines as they are?

I can't help I have a book case full of them, and get them out now and again to have a look.
ReplyDeleteMine are cooking magazines-I've only gotten as far as sorting each by name and date and storing in those large size snap together magazine holders (it's been like that for 2 years) so I'm afraid I have lots of ideas but no actions yet-LOL
ReplyDeleteI keep all my Christmas editions, mainly prima and Good Food, some going back 20 years, so there are quite a few. I store them in magazine box files, it the top of the cupboard. I get them out sometime in November and use them to plan my meals, finding some old favourite recipies and having a laugh at the old ones! I have tried cutting things out, but they always seem to print over two pages or you want things on both sides of the page!
ReplyDeleteTammy- They make binders for magazines and each binder holds 1 to 2 years worth of magazines. There is a thin little wiry thing-you open the magazine at the halfway point and the little wire slips in between the pages. I have several "albums" of these- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteI take out the pages I want to keep and file them, unless it's a ridiculous amount, then I just keep that magazine :) xx
ReplyDeletewe are twins, I am as bad. It I lived closer I would be popping around and "Borrowing" them!! I haven't bought Prima for a couple of months.....

Wow, that's a lot of magazines!
ReplyDeleteI would go through them all, ruthlessly, and cut out any craft idea or recipe you liked, then put them all in the recycling bin. I hoard magazines then find them, years later, and throw them out because they are so out of date!

I like to go through them cutting out all the nice pictures, snippets of information, and tips and I store them in Cath Kidston folders, it means I don't have piles of magazines hanging around....just the nice bit's!! Lucey x
